Therapeutic Philosophy of Dr. Gussak
Discover our natural & holistic health care clinic with a range of services and products. Establish Care Packages include 2 visits & individualized anti-inflammatory diet. We spend the extra time with you than most because half of healing is being seen & heard.
...Because quality care takes quality time and an individualized approach. This means focusing on sustainable lifestyles to live long & well so you can spend time & money doing what you love (family, work, leisure, etc.).
We use an innovation through tradition approach. By offering multiple drugless therapies for health, we use time tested strategies passed down through generations of naturopaths for effective and sustainable health. Our non-invasive specialties include Hydrotherapy, Diet & Nutrient Therapy (e.g. Food Intolerances), Physical Medicine, Homeopathy, and more.
Our medical approach is to:
Did you know the term doctor comes from the Latin docere meaning 'to teach'? Hence, we are unique in that we offer longer appointment visits with the doctor for each patient than the standard model. Our downtown Wenatchee office has a sunny, 3-bed Hydrotherapy Suite for outpatient services including Constitutional Hydrotherapy (C.H.T.) for safe & gentle detox.
Discover natural and holistic approaches to wellness with our range of services and products. We are excited to work with you!
Having received her certified training from the Carroll Institute for Food Intolerance Evaluation and Advanced Constitutional Hydrotherapy in 2016 and 2019, respectively, Dr. Gussak also continues to work closely with two of the founders of the Naturopathic Medicine Institute as a Teacher's Assistant for both trainings since 2019. She is currently working toward her fellowship with the Naturopathic Medicine Institute and started The Gussak ND Family Foundation 501c3 Non-Profit to continue traditional naturopathy education for future doctors.
During a visit, ample time is provided to tell your story and learn. You will receive a specialized nutritional physical exam in addition to a comprehensive medical physical, learn about the right diet for you using naturopathic Food Intolerance Evaluation with in person instruction from an experienced practitioner and a specialized treatment plan using whole foods and safe ingredients tailored to you. She is balanced, passionate, responsible, and altruistic.
Dr. Gussak's visits are individualized and comprehensive. Having been published in a medical textbook on Iatrogenicity during her second year of medical school and having had 5 years of medical and administrative hospital experience prior to naturopathic medical school make her stand out as a provider who brings time, thought and care to each visit. She is informed by additional trainings in Bioethics, Functional Medicine Lab Interpretation and more to help form her clinical approach.
Providing ample time to hear a patient's story with a spirit of understanding, curiosity, and empathy. One of the most healing experiences is to be seen and to be heard.
The belief that the patient is autonomous and thus empower them to be able to make the right decisions for themselves by providing informed consent and teaching.
The fundamental idea that the body can heal. That the patient does the healing, not the doctor. It is health-centric, not disease-centric. And rather than treating disease, this paradigm treats people.
Addressing Iatrogenesis by treating nutritional deficiencies caused by drugs, manage drug therapy to the least dose possible for the shortest duration and teaching patients how to select therapeutics thus reducing unsafe consequences of poor products.
Treating Anxiety, Depression, Loneliness, and Grief using Mind Body Techniques, Motivational Interviewing. Supplements, Herbs, Homeopathy, Diet and Genetic testing may be used to individualize the approach.
AKA Bee Venom Therapy (BVT) is a traditional Remedy for Rheumatoid and Osteroarthritis in Eastern Europe. Other products of the hive can be used including propolis and honey.
